PLEASE NOTE FOR PATIENT SAFETY REASONS WE DO NOT ACCEPT TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS.
Repeat Prescriptions may be ordered using the ‘tear-off’ slip from your last prescription. You can hand this in at reception, post or fax it to the practice, or alternatively use the local pharmacy prescription ordering service.
You can also order your prescriptions on-line via the link at the top of this page if this is more convenient, please ask at Reception if you would like any help to register for this service.
PLEASE NOTE THE LINK FOR OUR ONLINE SERVICES IS NOW ACTIVE FOLLOWING THE UPGRADE TO THE PRACTICE COMPUTER SYSTEM.
PLEASE CALL IN AT RECEPTION (WITH VALID ID) TO REGISTER FOR OUR NEW ONLINE SERVICES AND OBTAIN YOUR NEW LOGIN AND PASSWORD. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE ONLINE SERVICES UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THIS.
Telephone requests will only be accepted from those patients who are genuinely housebound (please phone after 11.00am for routine requests).
We require at least 48 hours notice to prepare repeats, so please think ahead when you are getting low.
Prescriptions may be collected at the surgery, returned by post (a S.A E. is required), or they may be collected at a local pharmacy specified by you. Some pharmacies do not collect prescriptions from the surgery every day, so please ensure they know to expect your prescription.
Occasionally you may notice that an item has run out of repeats. If you have not been seen recently (usually within a year) you may be required to attend the surgery for a review of your medication. No patient, however, will be left without necessary medication, and a small amount may be issued until you can be seen by a doctor.
If you are using our online service please note you can order any of your repeat items unless you are due for a medication review. If you need to order an item that is not on repeat, please contact the surgery directly, do not send the request as a note through the online service.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs), effectively a prescription 'season ticket', offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
From 1 April 2017, the charges are:
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 13 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
